I'm an elementary educator, award-winning children’s author, and STEM advocate. My passion for teaching and storytelling comes from a simple belief: every child deserves opportunities to explore, imagine, and discover the world around them. Through my work in education and children’s literature, I hope to create meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, kindness, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
My Journey
Originally from the Philippines, I began my professional journey as an educator with a passion for teaching, educational research, and helping young learners succeed. My experiences as a classroom teacher, journalism coach, researcher, and educational leader have shaped my commitment to meaningful and engaging learning experiences.
Today, I continue that journey as an elementary educator in North Carolina, USA, where I combine literacy, STEM education, and storytelling to inspire young minds. These experiences have also influenced my work as a children’s author, creating stories that encourage curiosity, compassion, and environmental stewardship.
What Inspires My Work
My work brings together three passions: education, storytelling, and discovery.
As an educator, I believe learning becomes more meaningful when children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas, and make connections to the world around them.
As a children’s author, I create stories that nurture imagination while introducing important lessons about kindness, courage, and caring for our environment.
Through literacy, STEM education, and classroom-based inquiry, I hope to inspire young learners and support fellow educators in creating experiences that extend beyond the pages of a book.
